There’s only a handful of video games that can make a man forget that his significant other exists, and the NBA 2K series may very well sit atop of the list. To build anticipation for NBA 2K15, the good folks at Visual Concepts have unveiled the first commercial to promote the game.
The brief television spot features this year’s cover athlete, Kevin Durant, and is inspired by his passionate NBA MVP award speech. But rather than play the star, the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar takes the backseat, as fans — known from their YouTube pages — speak on their experiences playing NBA 2K. It’s not until the very end that Durant shows face with a message.
