An inmate in the Kansas City jail is garnering praise from local residents who created a Facebook page in his honor, after news broke that he beat an accused serial rapist behind bars.

Antonio “Waldo Rapist Fighter” Collins as he’s now known was arrested last Wednesday for carrying a concealed weapon.

He tells KSHB News that after being put in jail he didn’t recognize his cell mate Bernard Jackson, a man charged with six counts of rape, five counts of sodomy, and four counts of robbery.

When he asked Jackson what he was in for, Jackson refused to answer but Collins soon figured it out for himself after seeing the accused rapist’s face flash on a television screen.

He tells KSHB that after seeing Jackson’s face on TV he became enraged, covered up a camera pointed toward the cell and began to beat the man for his crimes.

“I’m looking at the picture and I look down at him and he got this little eerie little smirk on his face like he’s happy about what’s going on the news, all the attention he’s getting…I made him scream just like he made them women scream.”

After a news report aired on Collins’ fight with the man, “The Official Antonio Waldo“Rapist Fighter” fan page popped up and he was regarded as a hero.

The fan page has over 1500 members and t-shirts and buttons of Collins are expected to go on sale soon.
