Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj’s “Flawless (Remix)” earlier this year set the viral universe ablaze. It got us thinking about the many other women before them who’ve helped set the precedent for female collaboration in Hip-Hop and R&B.
Some are chart-toppers, others are simply timeless pieces. But every single one of these tunes can send a sh*tstorm of funk down to the soles of your feet.
Hit the flip. We hope you enjoy listening to this playlist as much as we enjoyed putting it together. Do you remember these joints?

25) Rye Rye ft. M.I.A. – “Bang”
Rye Rye had a lot going for herself with this one. Not sure what really happened to the M.I.A protege.
24) Tweet ft. Missy Elliott – “Oops”
How Tweet got her foot in the door… and our skirts dropping.
23) Gina Thompson ft. Missy Elliott – “Things You Do”
And oldie, but forever a goodie. Did you catch that jingle in the background?
22) Beyoncé ft. Nicki Minaj – “Flawless (Remix)”
It was this track that brought these two global superstars together on wax for the first time. And we were glad it finally happened.
21) Missy Elliott ft. Ludacris & Trina – “One Minute Man (Remix)”
Every woman loved this one. Not so sure about the fellas. How ’bout it, guys?
20) Ludacris ft. Trina, Shawna & Foxy Brown – “Fantasy (Remix)”
We love any song that can bring the likes of Trina, Shawna and the OG Foxy Brown together.
19) Eve ft. Alicia Keys – “Gangsta Lovin'”
The glory days. Eve was just coming into her own skin and A. Keys was just starting to make major waves. A drop-top gem, for sure.
18) Ludacris ft. Diamond, Trina & Eve – “My Chick Bad (Remix)”
Nicki Minaj doesn’t spit in this one. But she doesn’t need to. Diamond, Trina and Eve were a job well done.
17) Keyshia Cole ft. Missy Elliott & Lil’ Kim – “Let It Go”
Every woman’s anthem. Plus, it features the Bella Mafia and is laden with a Biggie sample. One word: winning.
16) Eve ft. Faith Evans – “Love Is Blind”
This one hits hard. We’ll let the track speak for itself.
15) Mariah Carey ft. Nicki Minaj – “Up Out My Face”
No one really saw this coming. But that didn’t stop fans from helping it top the Billboard charts.
14) Eve ft. Gwen Stefani – “Let Me Blow Ya Mind”
Eve and Gwen were a match made in heaven if we were saw one. This still knocks today.

–– adapt to any borough b*tches.

A landmark debut, without a doubt.

We take it back. These two are really a musical match made in heaven.

Fat bars and soulful crooning? Yes, please.
8) TLC – “No Scrubs”
Another ladies’ anthem. Only this one is crazy, sexy, cool.
7) The Roots ft. Erykah Badu, Eve – “You Got Me”
Eve only makes an appearance on wax, but that was enough. Add Erykah in the mix and you’ve got a sure banger.
6) Salt ‘N’ Pepa – “Shoop”
Shoop!

The original is cool, but the remix –– with Lyte, Yo and the Queen –– is fire.

Thank you, Queen, for talking chivalry when no one else was.
2) Missy Elliott ft. Nas, Eve & Lil’ Mo – “Hot Boyz (Remix)”
The production? Those features? ‘Nuff said.
1) Angie Martinez, Lil’ Kim, Left Eye, Da Brat & Missy Elliott – “Ladies Night”
You already know the deal.
