The power of sports marketing will be the focal point of HBO’s forthcoming documentary The Offseason: Kevin Durant.
If you remember this past summer, the reigning NBA MVP was set to take Under Armour’s status to new heights by chunking the deuces to Nike for a reported (and whopping) $300 million.
The house that Phil Knight built would eventually swoosh in to match that offer, but not before making an exciting bidding war for sports fans worldwide.
Since the cease of production in September, KD25’s life hasn’t been short of headline fodder, all the same. Thanks to a nasty foot fracture, he will miss a consider portion of the beginning of 2014-2015 NBA season, to no one’s pleasure except for Lil B’s. Still, Nike saluted his loyalty with a special rollout for the Nike KD7 “On the Road.”
Peep the teaser trailer in the video below. The Offseason: Kevin Durant will premier Tuesday, November 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on HBO. Even if you are not a subscriber, you will be good money, sooner than later.
