If you want to get people riled up, talk about famous people having sex. Or better yet, talk about famous people who aren’t having sex. Throwing around words like virginity and abstinence are a quick way to raise eyebrows and get teased.

The recent breakup between former purity ring endorser Jordin Sparks and “Talk Dirty” singer Jason Derulo spawned questions about if Sparks lost her virginity as well as a few excess pounds within the last few years. Either way, Sparks ranks among the list of documented celebrities who were proud virgins.

During an interview with HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones told Bryant Gumbel, “There are virgins out there and I’m going to let them know, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.” By all accounts, Jones is still playing the V-card.

These Disney kids and their purity rings. Demi Lovato was representing for the purity ring set in a 2008 interview with Yahoo! where she rocked a ring and matching necklace with the inscription “Love Waits.” Given her leaked naked selfies, one can assume love stopped waiting.

Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fischer both grew up with Christian backgrounds, and Fischer says they prayed on the phone together. So it likely wasn’t an issue when Underwood asked him to wait until they were married to consummate the union.
