Since news broke of Diddy reportedly punching and in turn injuring Drake in Miami, one questioned has been asked repeatedly: Why isn’t there any video proof?
With that thought in mind, Hip-Hop Wired crafted a list of rap brawls that were not caught on camera. Some of rap’s favorites are featured here, too. Hit the jump to peep the list.

Maino vs. Yung Berg
Maino laid the hands of god on the Chicago rapper. A slap powerful enough to have a man readily admit to being slapped, during a videotaped interview. Said violence, however, was not televised.
KRS-One vs. PM Dawn
A man was thrown off of a stage at Mahattan’s Sound Factory nightclub back in 1992. Spoiler: it wasn’t KRS-One. And not a damn camera.
Jay Z vs. Lance “Un” Rivera
“The ni**a Un, yea I scratched him/He went home without an aspirin,” Jigga Man rhymed on “I Did It My Way,” an often forgotten track from The Blueprint II. The Brooklyn rapper believed the record executive was behind the leak of his 1999 album Vol. 3… The Life and Times of S. Carter. Wouldn’t you too be enraged.
T.I. vs. Lil Flip
The Kang has never been one to hold his tongue or back down from a fight. In his younger years, he reportedly brought the beef to Flip’s hood in Houston. The only remnants of that day are memories, though.
Tupac vs. The Hughes Brothers
During one of his brashest moment, Pac effectively snitched on himself on Yo! MTV Raps. But you already knew that, though.
Diddy vs. J. Cole
A far departure from the outpour of recounts of Diddy’s latest scuffle, this is the fight that never happened. It’s unclear if the two even squared up. That’s where an instant replay would have been handy.
The Game vs. Ras Kass
What better way to bring in the New Year than with a proper scuffle?
T.I. vs. Chaka Zulu
From the outside looking in, artist in Atlanta’s music scene support one another. But that didn’t stop T.I. and Disturbing The Peace’s Chaka Zulu from throwing down in fisticuffs.
50 Cent vs. Fredro Starr
It’s always hilarious to hear 50 Cent recount stories like these.
50 Cent vs. Ja Rule
This beef was career-altering, or ending, if we’re being frank, and violent, so it’s no surprise that there’s no video proof.
Fabolous vs. Ray J
When Twitter beef goes awry. I, for one, will always appreciate this minor beef for the quotes that came in the interviews that followed. But proper footage was needed.
Suge Knight vs. Vanilla Ice
The story of Knight hanging the then popular rapper over a balcony is legendary.
Raekwon vs. Joe Budden
The beef between The Chef and Budden was sparked by the latter, who took offense to and spoke out about Method Man’s place on Vibe Magazine’s “Best Rapper Ever” list. Speaking out against a Wu-Tang Clan member proved to have physical consequences. There was rumor of a tape, but it never surfaced.
Fat Joe vs. Cuban Link
Cuban Link infamously caught a buck-fifty to the face during a brawl involving Joey Crack back in 2001 at Angie Martinez’s listening party in The Bronx.
Diddy vs. Drake
Last, but not least, is the unlikely quarrel that inspired this list. During these tech-savvy times, there has to be footage of this multi-millionaire skirmish.
