Sunday night, Kobe Bryant surpassed Michael Jordan to grab the No. 3 spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. From his early career choices, to his fadeaway jumper, Kobe has always emulated Jordan.
But even with five championships and transcendent talent, people still hate on Kobe. Like, a lot of people. What gives? If you’re a Kobe-hater, it the jump and check out why you really hate Kobe Bryant.

He snitched on Shaquille O’Neal to the L.A.P.D.
Kobe Bryant was charged with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old when he was 25. R. Kelly much? Kobe ultimately settled with the alleged victim, but still yuck.
Kobe kind of sat back while Drake ethered his wife. We all remember when Drizzy aired out Vanessa Bryant’s divorce/alimony request by rhyming, “You wasn’t with me shooting in the gym!”
Kobe doesn’t pass the ball. There’s a reason he’s missed more shots in the regular season than any other player in NBA history.
Kobe’s the kind of guy to diss his teammates in public, on the Internet, or on television. Repeatedly.
We all had a collective face-palm when Kobe initially weighed in on the Trayvon Martin killing, saying, “I won’t react to something just because I’m supposed to, because I’m an African-American. That argument doesn’t make any sense to me.”
During his sexual assault trial in 2003, Kobe held up a fist and quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. saying, “An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere.” Bruh.
Shall we talk about the struggle nickname “The Black Mamba” or nah?
Remember the “White Hot” photo shoot for LA Times magazine?
KB has both thrown his fair share of teammates under the bus and run them out of town.
It looked like Kobe didn’t learn his lesson and got caught with a few Beckys in 2012.
If you’re a Laker fan, you can count 48.5 million reasons why your team can’t afford anyone better than Carlos Boozer or Nick Young right now.
Kobe’s signature Nikes are cool, but they ain’t Js, though.
He can imitate Jordan all he wants, but Kobe will never be like Mike. Michael Jordan had a higher shooting percentage and never lost in the NBA Finals.
