Various outlets are reporting Lil B will be bringing his very rare, very based brand of lecturing to Carnegie Mellon University. The wildest part is this isn’t the first time the Based God has enlightened the masses at an institution of higher learning.
It’s been pretty wild to see Hip-Hop go from getting steamrolled in the streets to being embraced in the classroom. Take a look at these 14 rappers who have done college lectures and step your education game up.

Kanye West
Yeezy lectured at the Harvard Graduate School Of Design, and as part of his community service, he also taught a fashion class at Los Angeles Trade Technology College.

Killer Mike
Mike Bigga’s been holding Hip-Hop down every time he makes a public speaking appearance. After attending Morehouse College, Mike went back to speak on Black Men, Black Boys And The Psychology Of Modern Media.

Professor Anthony Pinn and Bun B teach Religion and Hip-Hop Culture as a free edX online course being offered by Rice University’s Center for Digital Learning and Scholarship.
9th Wonder
In addition to being appointed Artist In Residence at North Carolina Central University, you can find 9th holding down as an adjunct professor at Duke University and lecturing at campuses across the country.
MC Jin
Jin dropped some gems on the students at the University of Pennsylvania in April of 2013 during a free, public lecture.
KRS-One

As if he doesn’t have enough job titles on his bio, Questlove began co-teaching Classic Albums at the Clive Davis Institue for Recorded Music at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2012.

He’s a St. John’s alum, but Cole upgraded his lecture status by speaking to the students of Harvard University as part of a discourse on Hip Hop.
