On Monday night (April 6), basketball fans sat at the edge of their seat as the Duke Blue Devils defeated the Wisconsin Badgers in the final minute of the NCAA Mens Championship game.
With top Duke recruit Jahlil Okafor in foul trouble for much of the game due to Wisconsin’s star center Frank Kaminsky’s, at times, masterful play, it was freshman guards Tyus Jones and Grayson Allen who would be the heroes of the night. Scoring 23 and 16 points respectively, the Blue Devils won 68-63, earning Coach Mike Krzyzewski his fifth NCAA Championship in the process.
Per usual, the game was accompanied by plenty social media conversation, meaning every nuance of the game was analyzed, and in some cases slandered. A sad Badgers fan learned this the hard way. It was just his luck that the camera captured him spotting the jig with a struggle face in tow as he sported a Teletubbies costume. Memes followed.
