Producer Mike Will Made-It was the headliner at The Rémy Martin Presents “The Producers Series” discussion and producer competition this past weekend. Hosted by Rémy Martin Brand Ambassador Charlamagne Tha God, Mike Will Made-It shared some gems about his time in the industry ahead of the producer competition.
The event was held last Saturday (July 11) at the Empire Hotel Rooftop in New York. The three-hour event featured a surprise performance from a pair of Mike Will’s artists, Eearz and Yung Joey. After the set, the five producers in the competition showcased their production talents in front of a panel of industry insiders with Swing America being selected as the first “The Producer Series” finalist.
The panel of judges included DTLR Radio host and WERQ Mixshow DJ Jay Claxton, Sony Music Entertainment Marketing Manager Rebekah Espinosa, RCA Records Vice President of Promotion Baby Sam, CEO of AE Marketing Group and Marketing & Brand Specialist Anthony Ellis, and, last but not least, Hip-Hop Wired’s Deputy Editor Alvin Blanco.
The second “The Producers Series” will take place on July 25 at Attic in New York. Producers looking to submit their work for entry have until this coming Friday (July 17th) to submit their tracks. The competition concludes this coming September with the grand prize winner walking away with exclusive studio time at Converse Rubber Track’s Studio along with other prizes.
