The greatest swimmer of all-time saw the first of his several scandals in 2009 when he was photographed using a water pipe for “recreational purposes.” He was also dealt a three-month suspension by USA Swimming.

The Chinese extension of Christian Dior removed Stone from all ads after she commented on the 2008 Sichuan earthquake saying, “Well you know it was very interesting…because they are not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine. And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that Karma? When you’re not nice then the bad things happen to you?”
