Striking while the lack of diversity of the Academy Awards has become a topic of conversation, The Source magazine unveils a new cover and takes a stand at the slight(s). The cover story ask whether or not the steps being taken to rectify #OscarsSoWhite is enough and notes which films got short changed.
“The Source’s cover spread recognizes Hip Hop’s great year in Hollywood and continues the brand’s tradition of using the platform to reflect the important issues of our time,” said The Source publisher L. Londell McMillan via a press statement.
Also appearing on the other cover of the long-running Hip-Hop mag is Memphis rapper Yo Gotti (see on the flip), who just dropped a new album, The Art of Hustle.
