With his third mixtape rumored to be dropping later this month, Chicago rapper Chance the Rapper surprises fans with a new video for an old favorite, “Angels.”

Chance employed the skills of a fellow Chicagoan, painter Hebru Brantley, for the high energy visuals. Throughout the clip, Chance acts as a real-life version of Brantley’s popular “Flyboy” character that is seen in many of his paintings. “Angels” also features rapper/poet Saba who does the hook and joins Chance at the end of the video to dance in the street. The song originally appeared in 2015 as a lone single released on iTunes.
