Wyclef Jean Set To Announce Run For President Of Haiti

Wyclef Jean is set to announce his official run for President of Haiti.

As previously reported the Yele Haiti head was mulling over the idea of announcing his candidacy and said that he “Can’t sing forever.”

Now Clef is preparing to make his formal announcement next week and according to AllHipHop, will announce his run for Presidency Thursday, August 5th.

The 2010 election will take place November 28th and the sitting President, Rene Preval is not eligible for reelection.
