Damian Lillard’s passion for rapping has been well documented for quite some time and has now finally released an official Hip-Hop/R&B cut that’s not for commercial use.
In conjunction with Yours Truly and adidas Originals, Lillard linked up with R&B OG Raphael Saadiq (y’all youngn’s need to look up his work), to record “Hero.” On the collaboration record Lillard unleashed his rap alter-ego Dame D.O.L.L.A. to drop an impressive set of positive bars that showed his State Farm commercial rhymes were nothing but child’s play.
Check the making of the track, the latest from adidas’ Start From Scratch series, and the actual cut below and let us know if Dame D.O.L.L.A. has what it takes to become the first NBA player since Shaquille O’Neal to go platinum.
Check out behind the scenes photos of Lillard and Saadiq in the gallery.
