The backlash to President-Elect Donald Trump‘s upset win on Election Night has been growing in the wake of the stunning decision. On Wednesday, more protests broke out across the nation in response to America’s new reality.
In New York, Chicago, Ill., Oakland, Calif. and other U.S. cities, thousands gathered in solidarity to call out their dissatisfaction with Trump’s impending presidency. At the Trump Tower locations in both New York and Chicago, protestors made the building their stage for the demonstrations. In Oakland, police reportedly used tear gas to disperse crowds and there were other skirmishes across the city. For the most part, many of the clashes between police and protesters remained verbal at the root.
