Here’s your distraction for the day. Kodak Black is calling D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty “square ass n*ggas” for supposedly jacking his slang term “Brocolli” for their smash hit.

You would think that after spending most of the year in jail and still having a sexual assault charge looming over his head that Kodak Black has other things to worry about. But, the recently freed Florida rapper is finally catching up on what he’s missed in 2016 and of those things is D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty‘s Grammy-nominated platinum hit “Brocolli.”

Apparently, he feels that the two of them stole his slang for the song. Here, “Brocolli” is another word for weed. Kodak says, “Man, what the f*ck. Who these lil n*ggas is jockin my little swag, talkin’ bout ‘Broccoli’ man? You know what, I don’t smoke broccoli no more, I smoke cantaloupe since you lil square ass n*ggas trying to steal my lil swag. I smoke cantaloupe now!”

Say what you will about Yachty, he never backs down when he’s called out. Lil Boat promptly and respectfully responded to Kodak’s claims.

Earlier this year there was a brief imaginary beef drummed up when people noticed that Kodak Black looked less than enthused when Yachty began rapping at the XXL Freshman cypher.

Thank God for elders though. As this plate of beef and broccoli started to get warm, E-40 chimed in to remind everybody that he’s been calling weed “broccoli” since 1993, before either one of these rappers were even born.

Let’s hope this can be a learning and teaching moment for both Yachty, who didn’t know any Tupac and Biggie songs, and Black who claims that he is better than Tupac and Biggie.
