WorldStarHipHop founder Lee “Q” O’Denat has passed away. He was just 43-years-old.

According to TMZ, O’Denat died in his sleep on Monday night.

Q founded WorldStar in 2005. It soon went from a center for crazy hood fights, and breaking new rap videos, to one of biggest traffic generating websites on the Internet. Eventually, hearing “Worldstar” meant something crazy was getting caught on video.

One of the site’s early investors was 50 Cent, who would later sue WorldStar for copyright infringement.

While to say that WorldStar’s content sparked controversy would be an understatement. However, its influence—good and bad—is undeniable. Rest in peace.

This story is developing.
