Quavo, Offset and Takeoff are now signed to the houses that The Beatles and Marvin Gaye built.

Per press release:

As an extension of Quality Control Music’s (QC) joint venture with Capitol Music Group (CMG), Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos – whose second album through QCM, C U L T U R E,debuted at #1 on both Billboard’s Top 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts less than three weeks ago – announced today that its future music will be released through QC and Motown/Capitol Records.  The Migos/QC partnership with Motown/Capitol was announced today by the trio’s members Quavo, Takeoff and Offset, as well as QCM’s CEO, Pierre “Pee” Thomas, its COO, Kevin “Coach K” Lee, CMG’s Chairman and CEO Steve Barnett and Motown Records President Ethiopia Habtemariam.

Pierre “Pee” Thomas commented, “This is a very exciting time for QC and Migos. We have been independently building our brand, and though our partnership with Motown/Capitol they have shown us that this is the right home to take our business to a global platform.”
According to Kevin “Coach K” Lee, “Working with Steve, Ethiopia and their whole team has been incredible. Like all of us at Quality Control, they work hard to push their artists’ visions front and center. It’s a creative and proactive alliance that always keeps the goals of QC in mind. Yes, I’m ready to conquer the world.”
This move can only mean more good looks for Migos. Up to this point, they’ve been able to garner underground and pop hits through being independent.
