Singer Faith Evans has decided to respond to allegations of driving under the influence, after her arrest in the early hours on Monday (August 23)

On her Twitter page, Faith thanked her fans for their support but hints that she wasn’t under the influence.

“Hi Faithfuls…I am on the set of my new video for my single “Gone Already”,” Faith tweeted. “I’m sure by now most of you heard that I was detained on suspicion of a DUI. After completing a full day of wardrobe prep I was stopped at a random checkpoint.”

In addition to responding to her arrest, Faith also updated fans on her new video.

“I’m fine and well, and thank you for your prayers, kind words and concerns. I can’t wait for you all to see my new video & look forward to hearing from u guys…Fizzy.”

As previously reported, Faith was arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The famed singer was released Sunday after being taken into police custody at an L.A. area checkpoint.

Police say they detected alcohol before they arrested Evans on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving.
