Rep. Maxine Waters‘ refusal to back down to Bill O’Reilly and the Republican Party inspires a wave a support among Black women online.
That was the tweet that set an army of Black women and their supporters to share their experiences of being a Black woman working in America. Waters was responding to Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly’s recent remarks about how she wears her hair. It was also a clapback at anybody in the GOP or on the Trump bandwagon that tried to come for her.
The #BlackWomenAtWork hashtag has inspired Black women all over the country to share their experiences of being treated differently in the work place. It has also inspired their male counterparts to offer support and shoutouts.
