Ezekiel Elliott was just suspended 6 games by the NFL. Needless to say, Twitter has plenty to say regarding a suspension more severe than what had been given to documented wife beaters.
Zeke was suspended for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, the league announced Friday (Aug. 11).
Reports ESPN:
The suspension comes as a result of an investigation that started more than a year ago after an ex-girlfriend accused Elliott of domestic violence in Columbus, Ohio. The Columbus City Attorney’s office announced in September that it would not pursue charges against Elliott because of “conflicting and inconsistent information,” but the NFL can penalize a player even without legal charges.
Elliott is expected to appeal the suspension, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This is where Twitter comes in to point out all the heinous ish other NFL players have done, that garnered far less severe penalties (see: Ray Rice and Josh Brown, to start).
There’s also a chunky bit of slander for the sake of slander, too.
Zeke is a Dallas Cowboy, after all.
