Mirrorless cameras are becoming the main choice for many photographers and thanks in large part to Sony A7R series. The brand just introduced their latest workhorse, the Alpha A7R III, and it is loaded with amazing features.

So what makes this A7R III standout from the previous model? Well for it’s more than a $1,000 less than the flagship A7 model. For $3,200 you get plenty of bang for your buck with the A7R IIIm which promises to help you capture once in a lifetime moments easily with precision and great quality.

Under the hood, the camera is working with a 42.4 megapixel sensor which will help increase light sensitivity and provide a wide dynamic range. The A7R III also features a BIONZ X™ image processing engine that boosts process speed significantly. Paired with an Exmor R™ that will give you up to a 15-stop dynamic range at a low ISO sensitivity for photos and photos in high megapixel resolution.

Another super impressive feature the A7R III has is the new Pixel Shift shooting mode. The new mode takes four photos while moving the sensor one pixel each shot giving you the ability to combine them into one large 170-MP shot with the help of Sony’s new Image Edge software.

This bad boy is also super fast, allowing users to take photos at an astounding 10 FPS (frames per second) continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking. So you can easily track and capture fast moving targets without losing focus. The silent shutter is just that extremely silent so if you’re into shooting wildlife you can get that shot without startling your subject with loud shutter clicks.

One of the Alpha’s most popular features, eye tracking is enhanced on the new model and while using it promises to help you land that perfect shot frequently in any situation.

Other notable features include 5-axis-image stabilization, 4K HDR (HLG) movie recording, outstanding viewing quality thanks to a Quad-VGA OLED Tru-finder touch control and tilt screen and much more.
