Two men have been arrested and charged with a hate crime for the four hour beating of a 16-year-old white teen for “enslaving their people.”
As previously reported, Shane McClellan of West Seattle was beaten May 25 by two men, now identified as 22-year-old Ahmed Mohamed and 21-year-old Jonathan Baquiring.
Police say the men asked the teen for a light when he was walking home alone before kicking, punching and beating him with his own belt saying, “This is for enslaving our people.”
During the attack which police said lasted four hours, the men peed on McClellan, put out cigarettes on his neck and poured energy beer on him while they have asked, “How do you like it white boy?”
The boy was left with a concussion and barely recognizable face while Mohamed and Baquiring were seen near the scene with dried blood on their hands and drinking the same type of energy beer poured on the victim.
Police did not arrest the men however but took samples of the blood on them for testing.
Both have been charged with first-degree robbery and malicious harassment, the state’s hate-crime statute.
Mohamed has been arrested; police are still looking for Baquiring.
