Actress Naturi Naughton is set to grace television sets now that she’s been cast as a lead in a new NBC drama.
The former 3LW singer will play “Brenda” in the pilot for “Playboy, a drama based around Chicago’s Playboy Club in 1963.
Brenda is described as a “stunning waitress” at the club looking to become the magazine’s first Black centerfold.
Alongside Naughton, “Zombieland” actress Amber Heard will play “Maureen”, a new hire at the establishment.
‘Playboy’ will be directed by Alan Taylor.
Naughton was previously featured in “Notorious” where she played the role of Lil Kim.
