The rapper and Thornton were spotted at the Marc Jacobs women’s store on Mercer St. during the boutique’s Fashion’s Night Out festivities.
After chatting up Vogue editor Anna Wintour, they took photos together and held hands leaving the boutique.
Fans of West chased the musical twosome down the street, snapping pictures on their cell phones.
Alexis Phifer
Kanye West and designer Alexis Phifer ended their 18-month engagement in 2008. The couple had been dating on and off since 2002, with West eventually proposing in August 2006.
According to a friend, the couple’s relationship had been straining, significantly influenced by the sheer amount of time and attention West was dedicating to his current concert tour.
“It’s always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends.”
Kim Kardashian
The pair have been spotted together several times this week, meeting up for a dinner with pals in Chicago on Tuesday and again for a birthday yachting trip with friends in New York on Thursday.
Even though the two have seen a lot of each other, a Kardashian source pours cold water on the idea the two stars are heating up.
“Kim is just friends with” West, says the source. “There is nothing going on romantically. Kanye and Kim are just friends and have been forever.”
Selita Ebanks
This isn’t the first time Kanye and Ebanks have been linked together. A couple years back when Kanye first broke up with his then long-term girlfriend, Alexis Phifer, he was then rumored to be dating Ebanks but a source close to Ebanks then said these two are just good friends
