In Hollywood the saying ‘less is more’ is often lost in the mountain of fake hair, plastic parts and heavy makeup that remains prevalent, but fortunately a few stars have embraced their more natural side.
For certain celebrities, dropping clothes, cosmetics and weaves has made a huge difference on their appearance and made them some of the best make-unders in the bunch.
Check out just a few celebs who’ve toned it down and proved that less is actually much more.
In 2010 Solange Knowles dropped the weaves and the makeup and took a more ‘natural’ approach to her style. The change upped her look and has since allowed fans to focus more on her beautiful face.
In 2011 Nicki Minaj posed for an ELLE magazine cover story showing the Barbie in a far cry from her colorful wigs and bright makeup.
The Barbie looked stunning in a more subdued hair choice with simple colors donning her face.
Nicole “Snooki” Pollizi is known for being a pint-size guidette but when she posed for a 2010 magazine makeunder, fans saw Snooki in a whole new light. The new look was much more flattering.
Meagan Good has often been praised for her stunningly good looks but after dropping pounds (in weave), the starlet’s face has become that much more beautiful.
These days in just a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, Good can just as easily grab our attention.
Known for her signature short cut and natural beauty, Halle Berry once ventured out and tried something a little more glamorous.
Beautiful either way, Halle eventually came back to a look we’ve all grown to love, a cropped coif.
Kelandria Rowland is known for switching up her look and after experimenting with edgy hairstyles and contacts, Kelly’s come back to her signature short do’.
Reality TV star Tiffany “New York” Pollard was once known for her larger than life personality and eccentric hair and makeup choices.
These days she’s toned it down and looks almost unrecognizable with a natural hairstyle and much MUCH less makeup.
