It looks like Kendrick Lamar deemed Meek Mill‘s “Ooh Kill Em” diss worthy of a response tonight at his concert currently occupying Williamsburg Park in Brooklyn.
Now this is a surprise for the ages. There have been rumors that Kanye West planned to embark on his first solo tour since 2008’s “Glow In the Dark” tour, but no one could have foreseen who his running mate would be.
Day two of the second annual Made In America festival featured more great performances from fan favorites. One came courtesy of Kendrick Lamar and his TDE partners in rhyme (ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock).
Kendrick Lamar stopped through E!’s Chelsea Lately talk show and of course the topic of his verse on Big Sean’s “Control” came up. As he has been saying lately, the Compton rapper’s fiery verse was all about the spirit of competition.
Talking heads who’ve questioned Kendrick Lamar‘s intentions in spitting his “Control” verse can finally quit the speculation. Following a call-in to Power 106’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the Compton rapper phoned HOT 97’s Peter Rosenberg to speak in depth about his now infamous bars.
Sounds like Kendrick Lamar may need more people. The Compton rapper called into Power 106’s Big Boi’s Neighborhood radio show in Los Angeles and finally spoke on his verse on Big Sean’s “Control” that had MCs all in their feelings.
A trailer dropped last week, but today we get the full length version of Made In America: TDE Documentary. Jay Z’s Life + Times website trailed Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock for about a month to create this inside look at the Black Hippy collective.
While some took offense, many others defended Kendrick Lamar‘s “Control (HOF)” verse because the MC can actually back up his claims with lyrics and accolades. Today, he can officially add a platinum album to his growing list of accomplishments.

Kendrick Lamar drops a blistering verse on Big Sean’s “Control” track where he claims to be the king of the East and West, and everyone, sensitive rappers included, starts reacting. Some dropped tweets, others concocted hilarious memes utilizing photo editing programs to slanderous affect.
