The buyer of Wu-Tang Clan’s Once Upon A Time In Shaolin has been revealed. Martin Shkreli aka the Pharma Bro who upped the cost of an HIV drug exponentially for profit, is who purchased the one of a kind album for a speculated $2M.
Back in March, RZA made news, and arched eyebrows, when he announced he was auctioning off a one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album to the highest bidder. Today (Nov. 24), it was revealed that Once Upon A Time in Shaolin… was sold to a private collector for an undisclosed amount in the millions.

Method Man sent shockwaves through the Wu-Tang Clan temple yesterday when he coldly flipped the middle finger towards the group’s long ballyhooed album, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin. XXL magazine informed the veteran MC that the RZA was planning to release the album in 2103–88 years from now–in concurrence to widespread reports.
The Wu-Tang Clan‘s place in music history is most certainly cemented, thanks in part to their blistering 1993 debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Although the end of 2014 gave us the group’s sixth studio album A Better Tomorrow, a secret double LP won’t see release until around 88 years from now.
Raekwon has emerged as the Wu-Tang Clan‘s most visible and consistent member in its later years, according to most accounts. The veteran sat with Shade 45’s Sway In The Morning show and dished on inside happenings with the Clan, issues with the A Better Tomorrow album and much more.
