The world never got a real explanation behind the Solange/Jay Z elevator fight, and it’s mostly likely we never will.

There are many things about Dame Dash that will earn him a spot in Hip-Hop’s collective memory. Namely, his work in building the Roc-A-Fella Records brand and the fall of that business relationship, and that the big part of Dame’s story that won’t be ignored: the beefs.

Solange may have taken a beating in the media for her feverish attack towards her brother-in-law Jay Z in a Met Gala elevator but she still found a great way to benefit from the struggle.

After a brief hiatus in the aftermath of attempting to bless Jay Z with the fade, ad a growing number of conspiracy theories, Solange Knowles has returned to Instagram. 

The person who leaked the now infamous Jay Z and Solange, one-sided rumble in the elevator is $250,00o richer, but now out a job. The Standard Hotel has fired the staffer. 

We figured that whoever sold TMZ the footage of Solange trying to go Ong-Bak on Jay Z made a pretty penny, but not this much. According to reports, after being shopped for five days, the black and white video sold for a cool $250,000.

This Jay Z and Solange debacle is only getting weirder. Hova and his sister-in-law were spotted jewelry shopping yesterday, together and peacefully. Meanwhile, Beyoncé appears to be rolling with Team Solange.

By now we all know that Solange used her limbs (and purse) to unleash some physical fury on Jay Z  after the Met Gala last week. Judging by how fast she lost it, Jay’s sister-in-law was already heated when those elevator doors opened.

Solange Knowles is persona non grata in the eyes of New York City newspapers. Both the New York Post and the New York Daily News ran covers with the caption “CRAY-Z” in reference to her assault on her brother-in-law, Jay Z, in a hotel elevator.
