The Batman
Though many had their doubts about Matt Reeves Batman reboot (mostly because of former teen heartthrob, Robert Pattinson being cast to put on the cape and cowl), the film wildly exceeded expectations and not just critically, but also commercially as it's hauled in over $760 million worldwide.
Overall it was a pretty cool scene that could've been in the film but we're not entirely happy with the casting of The Joker. He seems "Meh" at best.
With the way that The Batman ended, there will be a power vacuum in the underworld of Gotham City and best believe The Penguin will be doing his part to fill that void. Should be hella fun to see how things play out.
The Dark Knight isn't just responsible for saving Gotham City, but the movie industry as well.
Move over Christopher Nolan. It looks like The Dark Knight Trilogy will have some company at the top with the arrival of Matt Reeves' 3-hour epic, The Batman.
Even football cleats?! Should be interesting to see who balls out on the field in Batman cleats. Might get clowned. Just sayin.'
As far as comic book films go The Batman's runtime will only trail that of Avengers: Endgame (three hours and 1 minute) and Zack Snyder's cut of The Justice League (4 hours but went straight to HBO Max).
A surprise new trailer for The Batman is a great late Christmas present.
Looking more like it features a Batman: Year One story arc, Batman seems to be introducing himself to anyone unlucky enough to cross paths with him.

According to Vanity Fair, production on Matt Reeves The Batman has come to screeching halt with word spreading that the film's star, Robert Pattinson has tested positive for the Coronavirus. Though Warner Bros. has confirmed that filming on the picture has temporarily paused due to COVID-19, they wouldn't say who tested positive on the production team.
