Tragedy is the only word that accurately describes the death of a Charlotte infant.
15-year-old Tiffany Wright was shot and killed before the sun rose on September 14th as she waited for the bus to school. At the time, she was 32 weeks pregnant.
Doctors in the “Queen City” delivered the infant whom remained in unstable condition since birth.
Local authorities have not formally charged anyone in the murder though they are exploring leads. Wright's brother via adoption, 36-year old Royce Mitchell, has been charged in the statutory rape of his sister as well as for takingwith a child. It is not certain whether authorities are looking at the man as a suspect. Mitchell has an upcoming bond hearing on Friday.
Wright's funeral will take place tomorrow at Calvary Christian Church.
