Quincy Jones Hosts "5 Million Kids Initiative"
Superstar arranger and mega-producer Quincy Jones has teamed up with Tyrese and his filmmaking offspring QD3 for a partnership with L.A. based Operation HOPE. Together they will launch the 5 Million Kids National Education Campaign in an attempt to teach 5 million children and their guardians the benefits of being financially literate.
Launching September 29th at a private event in Los Angeles' infamous South Central, the innovative initiative will attempt to sparks interest in the school activities by finding nearly 25,00 volunteers for classrooms around the country while opening nearly 50,000 new bank accounts for those who have been traditionally deemed “unbanked” and under banked.”
Among those slated to help Jones in his ambitious endeavor are ambassador Andrew Young, a myriad of celebrities, John Hope Bryant, Founder and CEO of Operation Hope, and School Superintendent for the Los Angeles School District, Ramon C. Cortines.
In other Quincy Jones news, the perennial hit maker is currently working on a star-laden tribute to the “King of Pop“, Michael Jackson. Currently the presentation is scheduled to be ready in October.

Wow.... There u go again homie. Always doing the right thing Tyrese you are a well rounded person and I am will always give possitive feed back with all that u do. Now there isn't much I can say about the great mr. Q I thank god that we have such great hearted Black people with us today. God bless you both.
I tip my hat to the service that you do and your pure heart that you operate in. It hard but yet you do it. I wonder how I can contact anyone willing to help my daughter by just looking at her photos and giving me a honest opinion. She needs this as a 15yearold aspiring model. We've spent too much money as it is on dreams that we don't know will ever come true.
Tyrese u and q have made a choice to save our children from ignorance and poverty?
