Master P and VH1 Give "No Excuses"

Once ‘No Limit’s’ top commander in chief, Percy Miller, formerly known as Master P, has been on a quest to change the lives of millions of people. He offered his hand in various charity events and as previously reported, is taking his philanthropy to new heights, helping to feed and clothe 1 million hungry people. Now P Miller’s teaming up with VH1 to change the life of a man whose violent life of crime as a gang member is threatening to prohibit his future. The former ‘No Limit Solider’ is teaming up with VH1 for a new special titled, “No Excuses.”

The show has a similar premise to another show on a similar network with a rapper offering redemption to troubled youth. It features Miller offering a helping hand to an ex-gang banger named Torrie whose old gang-banging, drug-dealing lifestyle is threatening to destroy his family with his girlfriend and children. P puts him in a boot camp style program and tells him “No excuses.”

The show summary from VH1 explains it further saying:

“Torrie Jackson, a 28-year-old former gang member and drug dealer in Los Angeles who is trying to go straight.

Torrie’s girlfriend, Keisha, originally contacted Master P. She’s at the end of her rope. Torrie doesn’t have a job to help support their children. At times they’ve found themselves homeless. She fears for what kind of life their kids will have if Torrie keeps gangbanging.

If Torrie doesn’t shape up, Keisha will leave him. Enter Master P. He puts Torrie through his self-styled boot camp for personal transformation, focused on eliminating all the excuses holding him back.

No transportation? P’s got an answer for that. Hard to get hired if you’re an ex-felon? P’s got an answer for that, too. Can’t figure out how to get an education to further your goal of becoming a professional chef? No excuses Torrie!

With a series of hard–and sometimes embarrassing–lessons about how to do things the right way, Master P is a motivator like no other. Will Master P be able to get his message through to Torrie? Find out on “No Excuses.”

“No Excuses” premieres on VH1 Monday October 26 at 10 p.m.
