NYPD Suspended For Beating Man In Handcuffs [Video Included]
A video has surfaced showing police brutality as two NYPD police men violently hit a man while restrained in handcuffs.
Officers John Cicero and William Green are seen in the video reaching down to punch 28-year-old Jonathan Baez in the head and kicking him after handcuffing him and holding him down on the ground.
Police commissioner Raymond Kelly has reviewed the footage and released a statement on the blatantly obvious brutality saying,
"We simply are never going to tolerate something like that.”
Both officers have been suspended.
Two sergeants on the scene that did not intervene, Junior Carela and Phillip Connor have been put on desk duty.
Baez and a number of other men were detained after an undercover drug operation.
An innocent bystander took the footage.
