As previously reported Michael “Mystikal” Tyler was released from prison earlier this month after serving six years behind bars for sexual battery and extortion.
Now back in his hometown of New Orleans Mystikal is preparing to bounce back with his first performance since his release.
The 12th ward native will headline a concert at the Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts for Mardi Gras on Feb. 16.
Titled the “Mystikal and Friends” concert tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
Show time is 7:30 p.m.
Previously this month Mystikal was quoted as saying,
“Most artists wouldn’t able to sustain a blow like I took. Six years off the scene? For most rappers it would be over with…man this gone be the beginning for me and I’m finna get my reparations. Believe that! Watch ya self! I’m coming back wit it and I’m coming back for it!”
