White Man In South Carolina Murders Black Co-Worker And Drags Body Behind Truck
Police in South Carolina have arrested a man who they say shot and killed a co-worker before dragging his body for several miles.
Gregory Collins, a white man is being charged with murder for the death of Anthony Hill, a Black man who police allege that Collins shot in the head before attaching a nylon rope around the body and dragging it behind his truck, apparently until the rope snapped several miles later.
"We don't yet have a definitive motive for all this," Lloyd said.
Hill's body was found in the early hours Wednesday (June 2) on U.S. Highway 176 after Newberry County sheriff's deputies followed a trail of blood to the home of Collins.
According to published reports, Collins had a standout with authorities for several hours, before SLED agents fired tear gas into the home, prompting him to surrender. Collins was not armed when he was arrested, but Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster said he had an empty pistol holster on his side.
Hill died from a single gunshot wound to the head, Newberry County Coroner Craig Newton said. Hill was dead before he was dragged, according to deputies.
Hill and Collins worked together at a chicken processing plant in Newberry County, Lloyd said. Neither man had a serious criminal record. There was some other evidence that linked the men that Lloyd did not want to discuss.
Collins made his first court appearance Thursday (June 3), no bond was set and he did not yet have an attorney.

Anthony Hill made a big mistake a befriended a person who hated him enough not only to shot him put to decapitate him and mangle his body to pieces.

I heard that the white man found the black man in bed with his white woman. I do not excuse what the cracker did to the brother. However, we black men have got to stop risking our precious lives in order to get a piece of a white woman. The hatred that was there during slave days is still there. It hasn't gone anywhere!
