NBA Player Matt Barnes Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes has been arrested in California on suspicion of domestic violence charges.

Barnes, who is engaged to “Basketball Wives” star Gloria Govan, was taken into custody after police responded to what's being described as an “incomplete 911 call” around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived on the scene they noted Barnes and an unidentified woman both had visible injuries but took Barnes into custody after determining that he'd been the primary aggressor.

The woman's identity is being withheld but is described as “a woman who lived with him and with whom he had a dating relationship.”

He was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence and maliciously obstructing the use of a telephone line.

He was released after posting $50,000 bond.

Barnes recently called off his wedding to Govan but said that they remain friends.

    I feel for Gloria because I am sure she believed that her man was different from all of the other men in the world. She has now experienced a tough life lesson. We have all been there and hopefully learned from the experience. I hope she does and I wish her the best.

    I think this was all that Shaq's wife and all the other ladies were trying to get her to see. Never say what your man won't do!
