Naughty by Nature released the video for the newest single “Flags” today, but this isn’t your typical music video.

Shot on the streets of the group’s hometown in East Orange and Newark, NJ, it tackles the topic of gang relations and its destructive lifestyle. The extended video clip is based on a “Flags” feature film currently in development by Illtown Films.

“Our goal with the video was to send a ‘Peace in the Streets’ message to our brothers, sisters and the community at large,” states Vin Rock. “The video really exposes the choices one has to make in the face of adversity. Life or death, the choice is yours.”

The track and video feature vocals by Balewa “Bilal” Muhammad of the songwriting group The Clutch and current Grammy nominated R&B singer Jaheim. Rap legend and actor Ice-T makes a special appearance alongside Marc John Jefferies (Notorious, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Tracy Morgan Show) and Dennis Johnson.
