Man Confined To A Wheelchair Shot While Waiting To Buy Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2

It got real on the streets of Los Angeles and all a wheelchair-bound man was trying to do was get a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The LAPD is looking for the suspect who shot the man as he waited to purchase the much sought after video game.

The incident took place at approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 13), at a GameStop in the Koreatown area of the city. “The suspect walked up, shot him and then fled on foot,” said Sgt. Pete Llanes. The victim was hit in the abdomen and transported to a hospital for treatment, where he is said to be in stable condition.

Police have not yet uncovered the gunman’s motive.

Fans stood in line Monday (Nov. 12) night to get the newest release from Activision. With the first Black Ops earning more than $650 million in just five days, the stakes are high for the second installment.

The critics have given mostly positive reviews of the release, which Game Trailers hailed as “the most evolved sequel we’ve played in recent memory as it challenges the status quo at almost every turn.”

Black Ops 2 also received an 86 out of a possible 100 score Metracritic.com, a site which scores movies, music, games, and TV-shows based on user and critic reviews.
