Santigold is seriously one smart cookie. Just as the HBO hit sitcom Girls premiered its second season last night (coupled with a double win at last night’s Golden Globe Awards), Santi drops her new video for the title track off the Girls soundtrack.

The video highlights a bunch of girls in their element, doing what girls do. From little girls to older ladies, the vid runs the gamut of diverse chicks singing along to the song. There are ladies typing away in an office setting, along with a young girl bopping on her bed, women running the streets of the city, and so on. There are girls from all walks of life – a stark contrast to the cast of the hit series. Santi herself even pops up in a few scenes with her homegirls, jumping around the room.

The video is directed by Weird Days, with the single appearing on Girls – Volume 1: Music from the HBO Original Series. It seems like Santigold has been appearing quite a bit these days. You can also find her on the drum-heavy track “Hell” off A$AP Rocky’s LongLiveA$AP, in stores tomorrow.

In the meantime, check out Santi’s video for “Girls” below.
