Rodney Jerkins has built a career off of helping others, and recently received recognition for his many accomplishments. Fellow producer Harmony Samuels saluted Jerkins at BOE Global’s 1st Annual Producers Brunch in North Hollywood, Calif. earlier in the week.
Jerkins, discovered Samuels in his hometown of London and brought him to the states in 2006. In the last six years Samuels has worked on music for the likes of Styles P, Ne-Yo, Keyshia Cole, Ne-yo, 2 Chainz and more.
While receiving his award, Jerkins gave a touching speech, reminding the crowd to “put God first.” Guests in attendance were treated to a champagne toast and dessert courtesy of Cupcakes Stilettos, at the Zen Lounge, one of the newest contemporary hot spots in Southern California.
Throughout his career Jerkins has clocked cross-genre production credits, and has won four Grammy Awards. His musical resume includes work with Toni Braxton, Jennifer Lopez, Aaliyah, and Michael Jackson.
