DJ Khaled is that dude right now. Having been in the game for more than a full clip the Miami DJ went from a well-known Hip-Hop DJ/Producer to social media Hip-Hop superstar.
With eight albums under his belt and his ninth, Major Key, already here as an Apple Music exclusive, the most inspirational man in Hip-Hop history stopped by the Breakfast Club and gave them lessons on how he likes to break bread.
Sitting with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee about his relationship with Jay-Z, his endorsements, and living with positivity.
Here are the 10 things we learned from DJ Khaled on The Breakfast Club.

1. Since Birth
Khaled plans to snapchat the birth of his son. And he means the exit through the womb and everything.

2. Endorsements
Khaled says that if he endorses something – like Almond Milk – he has to love it. He won’t do anything just for a check. Better man than most.

3. Jay-Z
Ten years ago Jay-Z offered Khaled a label deal while he was at Def Jam. While it didn’t materialize he eventually felt Jay was the perfect manager for him and here we are today.

4. Lion
The lion on his album cover was real. His name is Felix and he listens to Bob Marley only. He was nervous at first but they found common ground on their love of reggae music. Can’t make this stuff up. That said…

5. He Ain’t Lyin’
Khaled admits that he doesn’t like lying so he doesn’t. A first for someone in the music industry some would say.

6. Flower Power
He’s a big fan of landscaping and keeps flowers around him for positive energy.

7. 50 Cent
He still won’t comment on someone from 50 Cent’s camp recording his mother sleeping on the job because it’s “a waste of energy” but respects Fat Joe’s decision to squash his beef with the Queens rapper.

8. French Montana
DJ Khaled did ask French Montana about the video of his mother (whom 50 Cent said had recorded it) and French denied any involvement. That was good enough for Khaled to move on.

9. Ace Hood
Even though Ace Hood is still signed to We The Best, he wants to do his own thing apart from Khaled. We’re just as confused as you are.

10. Fugees
He wrote an open letter to Lauryn Hill and The Fugees to clear a record he sampled. They have a history of denying clearances of their music. For Khaled they did. The man does win.
