Andre 3000 To Expand Benjamin Bixby Clothing Line
Atlanta rapper Andre 3000 is expanding his Benjamin Bixby clothing line to Neiman Marcus this fall.
The clothing line, which Three Stacks launched in 2008, was sold exclusively in Barneys, and was described as “a little bit Benjamin Button, a tinge of Willy Wonka, with a touch of collegiate footballer thrown in for good measure.”
I’ve honestly never seen anyone wearing Benjamin Bixby, but maybe that’s a good thing.
“For an African-American guy to be a prep, that’s a dichotomy,” 3000 said to the New York Times when the line launched in 2008.
“Prep style comes from mostly affluent families who just wear these cool clothes. But when you come from a background that has more struggle, your take on it will be different. There’s a certain kind of rebel to it.”
Check out a couple more pics of Dre’s clothing line and let us know if you would wear Benjamin Bixby?
(And I mean, the clothing line is cool and all, but what’s up with that album, Dre?).
