Last week we reported that a man was re-arrested for refusing to leave jail, and now comes a similar story. An Ohio woman was arrested for trying to break into a county jail, and asked to be arrested, early Sunday (July 29).

Tiffany R. Hurd was busted attempting to climb the barbed-wire fence surrounding the Butler County Jail in Hamilton, which is near Cincinnati.

Hurd refused to leave the property, and reportedly told officers “I want to be arrested.” Deputies noted that the woman was intoxicated, and after they stopped her from climbing over the barrier, she gave it another go. She was finally granted exactly what she asked for, when officers took her into custody.

The 36-year-old is being held on $2,500 bond, and was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, but her story follows a disappointing trend of citizens being arrested for one bizarre action after another. As previously reported, a Florida man was busted for demanding $10,000 from Rick Ross after he stripped naked during a NBA playoff game. Meanwhile, a man in Oklahoma was arrested after he accidentally shot himself in the balls, with a gun he was looking to sell.

Hurd is scheduled to be arraigned Monday (July 30).
