In honor of what would have been Jimi Hendrix 70th birthday last week, Rocawear is paying homage t to the late music legend in their Spring 2013 Collection.
The famous guitar idol is praised on the apparel with vibrant prints and funky designs inspired by his own wardrobe. Hendrix always mixed hippie garb with psychedelic patterns that created his signature style. Rocawear captures the icon’s fashion legacy with different photos of Hendrix in concert, acid washed jean jackets, and vibrantly dyed crew-necks. This collection embodies everything that Hendrix represented juxtaposed with the signature Rocawear street appeal.
It seems this generation is resurrecting the late musical icon’s spirits, and styles more, and more. Including, the Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side which Andre 3000 slated to release at the Sundance Film Festival early next year.
Another late legend getting merchandise recognition is reggae singer, Bob Marley. Aside from his image being plastered on various products and clothing, the Marley family launched the Marley Beverage Collection featuring a host of healthy natural drinks.
