Now that we’ve passed the halfway mark of 2013, we can reflect on a bevy of quality albums from artists like Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Tyler, The Creator, Wale, and more. Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail is also on the horizon, with a scheduled July 4 release date.

After some careful consideration, we realized that the latter half of the year promises an even better line up of LPs for your audible consumption. Everyone from the next up in TDE’s camp to a hit-making autotune crooner to perhaps the largest superstar in YMCMB will drop projects in forthcoming months.

And you thought June was an exciting time for Hip-Hop.

See a list of the top 16 projects set to release between now and the remainder of 2013 on the following pages. Also, Hov’s latest body of work was not a selection because we’ll have it in 48 hours.

Tell us if we missed anything in the comments.

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib – Co-caine Pinata

The tandem that delivered the Shame EP in 2012 promise another quality release in the fourth quarter. Soulful street raps are indeed on the way.

Fabolous – Loso’s Way 2: Rise To Power

This will be the Brooklyn rhymer’s first studio album since 2009’s Loso’s Way. To say that fans are excited would be an understatement.

Future – Future Hendrix

The ATLien can make a hit, but can he make a great album? Only time will tell.

Juicy J – Stay Trippy

The Three 6 Mafia rhymer has reinvented himself in a way that many veterans wish they could. We’re interested in hearing how this translates on his forthcoming LP.

Wiz Khalifa – Blacc Hollywood

Having experienced a bevy a new experiences, including fatherhood, it will be interesting to see where the Taylor Gang frontman will take his next project.

Gunplay – Living Legend

Feature verses like Kendrick Lamar’s “Cartoons and Cereal” and “MMG’s “Power Circle” propelled the Human L.A. Riot into the spotlight. Can he live up to the hype when the time comes, though?

Earl Sweatshirt – Doris

From what we’ve heard, Odd Future’s next-at-bat has been cooking up a heater.

Pusha T – My Name Is My Name

One half of the Clipse’s solo debut has been the talk of the town in many circles. Besides, “Numbers On The Boards” was enough reason to grant the Virginia rhymer a spot on this list.

2 Chainz – B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time

The Hair Weave Killer is charismatic, entertaining, and can make a hit record. We’re sure he’ll build on where B.O.A.T.S. left off with this second effort.

Danny Brown – Old

Call him a character rapper if you’d like, but you’d be sorely mistaken. The Detroit native can out rhyme a bevy of MCs. Line them up, and he’ll shoot them down.

Raekwon – F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art)

The Chef left us with Only Built For Cuban Linx II and has blazed a trail with phenomenal feature verses since. Like the child in the AT&T commercial said, “we want more!”

Wu-Tang Clan – A Better Tomorrow

On top of a new Raekwon LP, fans will receive a new project from the Killer Bees. We’re ecstatic.

Rick Ross – Mastermind

Rozay has some making up to do for his 2012 album God Forgives, I Don’t. He’s also revealed that this project will be more soulful. We imagine an album full of tracks like “Valley Of Death” and “Tears Of Joy.”

Big Sean – Hall Of Fame

According to the G.O.O.D. Music MC, everyone he’s played his album for said it’s phenomenal. Now, we have to hear it.

ScHoolboy Q – Oxymoron

Easily one of the top two albums we can’t wait to hear, Quincy’s “Yay Yay” and “Collard Greens” give up nothing but high hopes for his proper debut.

Drake – Nothing Was The Same

Say what you want about the man, his antics, or his affinity for leather shorts sets — the kid has skills with a capital “S.” Nothing Was The Same will be fire. Mark our words.
