Frank Ocean is as introverted as they come. Aside from his music, the singer’s open letters are the most consistent source information about his current disposition. His latest written piece happens to be a freestyle, of sorts, to summer anthem contender, “Versace.”
Like rappers who took the beat to task prior, Ocean adopts the flow popularized by Drake and Migos. But even more surprising was the the Grammy winner’s not-so-sneak diss directed at noted nemesis Chris Brown in the opening bars.
“Versace, Versace I’ll play the piano/I’m not Liberace/You could stay seated, I’m taking that Grammy/Your music is sloppy” wrote Ocean wittily.
And just when you thought he and the “Fine China” crooner buried the hatch, this happens.
There’s currently no word on if Ocean will liberate actual audio for his verse. For now, you’ll have to read the lyrics on the following page.
