Wiz Khalifa and Converse‘s partnership was a natural collaboration, due to the rapper’s history as an advocate for the brand. Following a brief television spot debuted last month, the public finally gets a first look at what the two parties cooked up.
The Wiz Khalifa Collection by Converse adds some flavor to the classic Chuck Taylor design. The heel area of the upper features premium leather that improves the shoe’s comfort. Colorful camouflage accents can also be see on the sole and inner lining of the kicks.
So far, Converse has revealed two colorways of the sneaker — one comes in olive green and the other dons gray camo. The latter has studs on the tongue, while both pairs feature Khalifa’s patented insignia on the insole and packaging.
The collection will hit Foot Locker retail locations August 23. Until then, hit the following pages to see the Chuck Taylor All Stars.
