Tonight, the biggest names in Hip-Hop and R&B celebrated the 14th annual BET Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Hosted by Chris Rock, the night was already sure to be full of comedic jewels. But there was also a lot for fans to enjoy musically as well.
Things got off to a great start with a performance by Pharrell Williams, who rocked the crowd with his G I R L track “Come Get It Bae,” sans Miley Cyrus. The Grammy winner instead surprised those in the building and at home by inviting Missy Elliott to the stage to perform “Pass That Dutch,” which was an easy transition because it dons similar percussion to Skateboard P’s aforementioned hit.
Jay Z and Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, August Alsina, T.I. and Iggy Azalea, Jhene Aiko, Robin Thicke, Jennifer Hudson and more.
